1. The Beginning
Creation – God created heaven and the earth. Each day of creation is a day of division, it is God dividing and separating heaven and the earth, the light and the darkness. God worked for six days and on the seventh day, He rested.
Creation Days 1-7
Day 1 – Created Light. Day vs Night. God divided the light from the darkness. He called the light day and the darkness he called night. Genesis 1:1-4
Day 2 – Heaven. God made heaven in the midst of the waters and divided the waters above the heaven from the waters below the heaven. Genesis 1:6-8
Day 3 – Earth and Sea. God divided the dry land (earth) from the waters (sea), and said let the earth bring forth grass, and the fruit trees. (The seed is in itself and brings forth after its own kind). Genesis 1:9-13
Day 4 – Lights (objects for days, seasons). God said let there be light in the heaven to divide day from night so that there would be light on the earth and let them be for signs and seasons, for days, and years. He made the sun to rule the day, and the moon to rule the night and the stars also in heaven to divide the light from the darkness and to light the earth. Genesis 1:14-19
Day 5 – Creatures (sea and heaven). God made sea creatures and the birds and divided the creatures of heaven and the creatures of the earth. Genesis 1:20-23
Day 6 – Earth Creatures and Man (male and female). God gave man dominion over earth and sea creatures. God made the living creatures of the earth each after their own kind, God created man (male and female) in his own image, and blessed them, and commanded them to be fruitful and multiply, and replenish the earth and subdue it. He gave them dominion over every creature of the sea and the earth. Genesis 1:24-31
Day 7 – God ended His work and rested. He blessed the 7th day and sanctified It. The heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them. And on the seventh day God ended His work which He had made; and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had made. And God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it: because that in it He had rested from all his work which God created and made. Genesis 2:1-3
